Langrüti as a sign of culture

Parkzeit2016

The Parkzeit Langrüti project is entering its second round! From 25 August until 2 October, the Langrüti Park will be devoted to the arts. The four artists, Claudio Holdener, Rochus Lussi, Hanna Roeckle and Renee Vaughan Sutherland will turn our beautiful historic park into an artistic landscape and exhibit film, sculptural and installative work. In addition, young artists, who are still at the starting point of their career will be working in the «laboratory».

Born in Zug, Claudio Holdener explores architecture and design and is building two walk-in structures. The central Swiss artist, Rochus Lussi, will exhibit his diverse work with wood. The works by the Zurich artist, Hanna Roeckle, alternate between painting and sculpture. Australian Renee Vaughan Sutherland has realised an extensive installation in "expanded cinema" for the Parkzeit Langrüti.

In the laboratory, built in the park's gazebo, young artists find their creative field of activity. They do this in collaboration with Sibylle Omlin, Director, École cantonale d'art du Valais-ECAV, Sierre.

The Parkzeit curated group exhibition first took place in 2014 on the occasion of the 150-year anniversary of Lustenberger & Dürst AG. The great interest and the positive feedback encouraged Richard Gander, initiator of the project and CEO of Lustenberger & Dürst, to continue to hold the exhibition every two years. The event is sponsored by the Lustenberger 1862 brand. The event makes the beautiful park in Hünenberg See available to invited artists and is opened to the public.
