Nantwich 2014 gold web

A great honor for the Lustenberger 1862 fruity-tangy. The cheese specialty was awarded with a gold award at one of the world's most prestigious and largest cheese exhibitions, the International Cheese Awards: The gold award in the category of vegetarian cheese.

The International Cheese Competition in Nantwich began in 1897 and is one of the oldest, most prestigious and most traditional cheese events in the world. At this year's 117th ceremony of the International Cheese Awards competition, the competition was more contested than ever with a record number of participants totaling 4,443 submitted types of cheeses from 26 countries.

Nevertheless, other specialties from Lustenberger and Dürst were able to surpass notable competitors. For example, the Fior delle Alpi received two golden awards and one silver award in various categories. The specialty Saint Christoph was also awarded with the golden award in the category of soft cheese.
